**In one sentence:** BGW Film Studios announced that its Indigenous Success Stories franchise received an Honorable Mention at the Best Film Awards in June 2026.

BGW Film Studios Inc. has shared that its Indigenous Success Stories franchise received an Honorable Mention at the Best Film Awards in June 2026. The franchise is the work of filmmaker Billy George Williams. The official selection listing is published at https://bestfilmawards.com/official-selection/hissa.

The franchise centres on the documentary "Indigenous Success Stories: A Special Child, The Bill Williams Story", directed by Billy George Williams. The documentary does not stand alone. It comes with companion books and music connected to the same project. That means a viewer can watch the film, read the books and hear the music, and follow the same story through three different formats.

The documentary is also an Official Selection at the Hollywood International Indie Film & Screenplay Awards 2026. Both the Honorable Mention at the Best Film Awards and the Official Selection at the Hollywood International Indie Film & Screenplay Awards 2026 are tied to the same body of work. BGW Film Studios is the film studio of Billy George Williams, and the Indigenous Success Stories project is presented as a film, book and music release rather than as a single title.

The project is made for audiences who want Indigenous stories told by an Indigenous filmmaker, and for anyone drawn to a story about where a life starts and where it can go. The message Billy George Williams puts at the centre of the work is simple: where you start does not determine where you finish. For viewers, readers and listeners, the two 2026 recognitions are a sign that the story is now reaching people beyond the community it came from. Those who prefer to read rather than watch, or who want to sit with the music, have a way in that suits them.

The film, the books and the music are available now at bgwfilmstudios.com. The site invites visitors to watch the film, read the books and hear the music tied to the project, all in one place. People who want to see the Best Film Awards recognition for themselves can view the official selection listing at https://bestfilmawards.com/official-selection/hissa.
