Independent author Sherri Fulmer Moorer has released Variants, the second book of The Dark Mirror Trilogy. The novel comes out on October 7, 2026, on Amazon as an ebook and a paperback.

Variants carries the story of the first book forward. Readers can buy it at https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0HBLY94KZ. The ebook is $1.99 and the paperback is $11.99 until October 14, 2026. Both formats are on the same product page.

The book is for science fiction readers who like stories that ask hard questions about where people are heading. On her site, Moorer describes her books as fiction that explores humanity's future one impossible question at a time. Her tagline: we aren't getting older, we're evolving.

Moorer writes science fiction and mystery novels and publishes them herself as SherritheWriter. Her work also includes The Sentience Series, The Earthside Universe Collection, The Tanger Falls Mystery, stand alone science fiction novels, and seasonal and holiday tales. The Sentience Series opens with Domino, about a program that copies neurological maps and data from neural chips implanted in human brains. It is told by co-founder Kasei Marcuyla, who is murdered for the discovery, downloads to Domino, and escapes to the Internet to find the backup of the program and the team members who sabotaged it.
