Roy Stanton aka Black Hamlet Releases Dark Tales for Wise Children

Black Hamlet, also known as author Roy Stanton,(blackhamlet.com) has released Dark Tales for Wise Children. The book came out on September 8, 2026 in paperback, hardcover and Kindle. Stanton lives in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Dark Tales for Wise Children holds 13 stories written in the style of Grimms' Fairytales or Aesop's Fables. The tales feature many cultures and geographies, and the author wrote them to encourage critical thinking, moral judgement and empathy. The book is aimed at young adults and, as the title says, wise children. The Kindle edition sells for 99 cents. The paperback and hardcover editions are also available, and all three formats can be bought through Amazon.

Stanton is the author of more than 36 books, including Loser!, One Hand and Who is Black Hamlet?. He has written more than 30 books of poetry, and his work covers poetry, fantasy, science fiction and horror. His titles include the science fiction book The Resonance Gap, the horror books The Final Cut and Encore of Terror, and The Wasted Land Omnibus, which collects five complete books of poetry: The Wasted Land, Ancient Gods & Aliens, One Hand, My Many Suicides, and Parrots, Red Wine & Coffee. His fantasy series The Indrajala Trilogy is made up of Poet, Dancer and Musician, which were released on Kindle on August 28, 2026. Before moving to Calgary, Stanton lived in Los Angeles and in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia.
