Stephanie Woodie Sets December 10 Deadline for Signed Appalachian Books

Stephanie Woodie, an independent author in Lansing, Ashe County, North Carolina, has set December 10 as the last day to order signed books for Christmas delivery through her site, From the Hollers. Orders placed by that date cover her Appalachian folklore titles and her mountain suspense novels. Printables sold on the site download instantly, so they can be bought at any time.

The site is running a signed book deal: any three signed books for $30 with free US shipping, mixed and matched, with the discount applied automatically in the cart. Complete Collection editions are not included in the deal. US shipping usually takes three to five days. Signed books can also be sent outside the United States, with the buyer paying shipping. Signed copies of individual titles are listed from $11.99, including The Holler Handbook: A Dictionary of Appalachian Language at $14.99, Volume 4: Appalachian Tales at $16.99 and the suspense novel I Am Darkness at $11.99. The Complete Collection, Volumes 1 to 6, is $46.99 signed. Ebooks are priced from $7, and several, such as the Pocket Dictionary and Holler Kitchen: Family Recipes from the Ashe County Mountains, are sold only on the site. Printables include Native Plant Field Cards covering 38 medicinal and wild plants of Ashe County at $8, Holler Christmas Gift Tags at $4 and the Ashe County Sightseeing Guide at $7.

Alongside the books, the site sells gifts with Ashe County designs: calendars such as the 2027 Mountain Almanac Wall Calendar at $25.99, ornaments, greeting cards, wall art and hoodies in sizes S to 5XL. Gifts are printed to order and shipped, and every order includes a free Holler Holiday Crafts book. Her books are also sold on Amazon in paperback and Kindle editions.

Orders can be placed at fromthehollers.com, where a holiday gift guide published on the site's blog on November 3 lists the signed books, printables and mountain gifts. Free samples of several Holler Handbook volumes can be read on the site.
